What they share is a single high standard for vetting candidates and the same regional recruiters, so one client can staff a home, a hotel project, and a yacht through the same team. Here is what each agency does and who it serves.
Morgan & Mallet is a luxury household staffing agency that places private staff for families and family offices. It is the original agency, started by Morgan Richez and Laurine Mallet in 2015, and it still accounts for most of the group’s work.
The roles cover the full running of a private home. Butlers, housekeepers, nannies, governesses, private chefs, estate managers, house managers, personal assistants, chauffeurs, and domestic couples are all recruited within Household, whether the placement is live-in or live-out, permanent or seasonal.
Clients are mostly ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth families, family offices, and private principals, and many keep homes in more than one country. The agency only registers candidates with several years of verified private-household experience, because private service is its own discipline.
“Working with a private family in their home is a lot different than just a hotel where you just come and go. It’s a whole different dynamic.”
Jonathan de Vanderbilt · Lead recruiter, New York office
Morgan & Mallet Hospitality recruits executive and front-of-house talent for luxury hospitality operators. It is the newest of the three agencies, launched in 2024 once clients on the household side started asking the group to staff their commercial ventures as well.
The roles include hotel management, front-of-house and guest relations, food and beverage leadership, and chefs and service staff for fine dining. Clients are luxury hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, exclusive retail, and other high-end operators.
The two sides work with each other. A five-star or Michelin background is one of the strongest things a candidate can bring to a private role, and candidates who suit a hotel rather than a family can move the other way.

“It’s a prime asset, experience in a five-star hotel or a Michelin star restaurant. It provides service and an understanding of etiquette that is hard to teach. Candidates have to show they can adapt from hotel service to the intimacy and proactivity a private property needs.”

Morgan & Mallet Yacht Crew places private and superyacht crew, from a single hire to a full team. It launched in 2017 and works closely with the Mediterranean offices.
The roles include captains, chief stewards, chefs, engineers, deckhands, and complete crew teams. Clients are yacht owners, captains, and yacht management companies, often the same principals the Household agency already staffs on land.
Yacht hiring carries rules that land roles do not. A yacht’s residency follows its flag, and the flag decides which country’s contract every crew member works under.

“It’s really like a country, like your own house. A yacht is on the sea all year long, so you need to give it a country flag. And then every contract follows that, even with suppliers.”

Because of that, and because the best crew are booked early, owners who want a full crew for the summer are better starting in January or February. The agency also places yacht-to-villa staff who can move between a boat in summer and a villa on the coast, a rare profile that takes longer to find.
The three agencies work on the same selection standard and share recruiters in each region, so a client never restarts with a new contact when they cross from one to another. The recruiter who places a butler in London can place a hotel manager in Dubai and a chief stew in Monaco for the same principal.
It also means candidates be be recruited in different areas if needed. Someone who is strong but not suited to a private family can be placed in hospitality instead.
